5 Spots is a puzzle game developed by Katana Games released on July 24th, 2003. This Game was Available to Download Until the Client Shutdown in 2013.
Overview[]
Find the 5 differences between the two images on the screen before time runs out.
Controls: Left-click on either image where you think there is a difference.
How to Play[]
The 5-spot screen is divided into a number of key areas.
In the center of the screen are the IMAGES. Examine the two, seemingly identical, pictures and try to spot the 5 differences between them. When you think you've found a difference, click on either image at the spot of the difference. If you're right, the area will be highlighted. If you're wrong, you'll lose time off the timer.
Above the images is the JOKER Bar. If you're stuck and running out of time, click the "Use Joker" button to have one of the differences revealed. the stars next to the Joker button show your remaining jokers. You only have 5 Jokers per game, so use them wisely.
Directly below the images is the TIME BAR. As you play 5-spot, the time bar will gradually fill up. If you run out of time before you've spotted the 5 differences, the game's over.
Other areas of the screen are:
CURRENT LEVEL: The level you are on displayed in the upper left-hand corner.
SCORE: Your score is displayed in the upper right-hand corner.
QUIT: The quit button is in the lower left-hand corner.
PAUSE: The pause button is in the lower right-hand corner.
Hints and Tips[]
For a brief, in-game, overview of the game, click the "Instructions" button in the Options Menu; accessible by clicking "Info & Options" at the bottom of the screen.
Running out of time? Click the "Use Joker" button above the images to have one difference revealed to you.
Remember, you only get 5 Jokers per game. Use them only when you have to.
Pay close attention to the small details of each picture. The differences won't necessarily be in the most obvious places.
The amount of time you have to finish the level will decrease as the level increase.
If you make a mistake, and click an area where there is no difference between the two images, time will be taken off the time bar. Make sure you've spotted a difference before you click the game screen.
Need to take a quick break? Press the Pause button. The images will be hidden and the timer will stop.
You can change the way the differences are highlighted in the Options menu. Click the arrows in the "Error Marks" box to choose the one you like best. Then, click the "OK" Button to return to the game.
